You

Plain questions about family, property and wishes. About thirty minutes.

Your will

A draft under the Law of Succession Act, reviewed by an advocate if you ask.

Your family

They know what you owned, where it is kept and what you wanted.

Free to use

Map your family tree, free. No account needed.

Lay out the people in your family across the generations, then download it as a PDF to keep or print. It is a simple way to picture who is who before you think about a will.

Your tree stays on your device. Nothing is sent to us unless you choose to create an account and save it.

The guided interview

The advocate's questionnaire, digitised.

Wosia takes the same set of questions an advocate works through in chambers and puts it on your screen, clause by clause. Fields appear only where they apply to you: no children, no guardianship section.

No artificial intelligence is involved at any point. Your answers are placed into a fixed set of drafted clauses and are never used to train any model.

Your answers are saved as you go. You may leave and return at any time.

What is covered

Everything you own. Including the things other tools forget.

A will names who receives what. It does not say where the title deed sits, which SACCO holds the passbook, or which policy nobody else knows about. Wosia records both: what you own, and where each document is kept.

The same register is available as Wosia Ramani, a fill-in paper companion for the family member who prefers a book to a screen.

Why it matters

Without a will, the law decides. Not you.

Under the Law of Succession Act, an estate left without a will is distributed by a fixed statutory formula rather than by the wishes of the person who died. Settling it can take years, most often because nobody can establish what was owned or locate the paperwork.

Writing a will does not mean you are expecting to die.

Questions

Asked often, answered plainly.

Is a will made through Wosia legally valid in Kenya?+
Yes. Every will is drafted under the Law of Succession Act (Cap. 160), the statute that governs wills and succession in Kenya.
Do I need an advocate to write my will?+
No. You may complete the interview and download a draft on your own. An advocate review is available as a separate plan.
What happens if I do not have a will?+
The estate is distributed according to a fixed statutory formula under the Law of Succession Act, rather than according to the wishes of the person who died.
Can the people I name see what I have written?+
No. Beneficiaries are never notified of anything you write while you are alive.
What can a will cover, besides property?+
Guardianship for children under eighteen, specific gifts to named people, and instructions for your funeral, among other matters.
When do I pay?+
You pay only when your document is ready to download, not before.
